Canada

This photo was taken in the mountains of Canada. The summer of 2016 I spent a week of my summer at Young Life camp. "Young-Life is a Christian ministry based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The ministry was started in Dallas, Texas in 1941 by Presbyterian minister Jim Rayburn. Young Life operates globally as several different organizations with different focuses." Young Life camp is full of fun surprises and new friends. Young-Life is way to meet new people and have a fun time.

In this photo my good friends are on a banana boat. A banana boat is a tube, but shaped as a banana and it fits around four to five people. Because it was too cold I didn’t go on the ride but caught this action shot of my friends falling off the tube as the photographer.

This photo was taken in Canada at Young-Life camp. My friends are riding on the banana boat while my good friend Louis (in front if the camera) is spotting them. If one fell off the boat Louis was in charge of telling the driver circle around to pick up the rider that fell off the tube.

I took this photo using my friend Louis as a subject because I wanted to use the rule of thirds. According to Wiki, "The rule of thirds is applied by aligning a subject with the guidelines and their intersection points, placing the horizon on the top or bottom line, or allowing linear features in the image to flow from section to section."

Later in the week we went water skiing and tubing (not on a banana boat.) I took this photo as we were waiting for my camp counselor to get back and getting ready to ski again.

I thought the view of the back of the boat was amazing because I got to see the mountains peeking out of the clouds and the pretty evergreen trees. You can also see some of the camp ground. My favorite part is looking at the water and seeing a bit of reflection of the clouds.
